I am an artist working in pyrography, dividing my time between Haliburton and Waterloo counties. Most of my work features wildlife, as the sepia tones of woodburning lend themselves to the depiction of fur and feathers. Each piece is one of a kind, with a protective finish of varnish.

Biljana Banchotova is the visionary artist of Whirling Wisdom Art Creations. A Certified Lead-Artist Educator, that practices multi-disciplinary arts in integrative ways and spiritual awareness. Her inspired paintings have been exhibited internationally, with wide recognition and over 24 years of practice. Her other creations include: floor murals; illustrations of children’s books, collections of Stained Glass Dreams; Spirit Shields; Hand Drums, Didgeridoos and other manifestations. She leads a way of sustainable living on her land at Spiral Gate of Art & Wellness.
What started off as a curiosity, turned into a small business. My mosaics have found homes across Canada, the U.S, Europe, Dubai, India, Hong Kong and Australia.
25 years ago, I finally found the medium in which to incorporate all of the things that I love and I’ve been having fun with mosaics ever since.

John is basically a self taught artist specializing in portraiture of Pets and People. His pet portraits are wood burned onto a bass wood plaque and then hand painted in acrylics. People portraits are done in colour pencils, a very fast growing medium in the artist community, or black and white charcoal on paper ready for framing by the client. The pet portraits do not require framing, however, and are ready to hang.
